Intifada

From the dept of my heart
Wails for thee my spirit,
Dampened chest with blood,
May you be met with resolve
Stronger than the foundation
You were born in, oh Martyr.
Born naked in body,
But died naked in heart,
Stay with us in spirit
And lay bare your teeth
For the world to see
Your determination.

Inspiration:

From Gaza to Dhaka, Long live the intifada(Arabic tr: Uprising)
I wrote this specifically for Martyr Abu Sayed back then but now, with heavy heart, I dedicate this poetry to the hundreds of students
who died in the anti-quota movement of Bangladesh. And of course, as always, I stand with Palestine still.

Writer's Note:

The last few days have been very stressful. Please, be your own media and raise awareness when everyone else lies. I will try to update more while I still have access to the internet.
Coincidentally, I wrote "I don't dream of an ideal world, I dream of something that hurts less than this" on 11th July.
It got worse after I wrote that. And this time, it hurts more.
Thank you for reading.
