Embrace

You're a vile creature and you have no place
to return to and call home.
Let me hold you and turn my arms into your cage,
isolate you from the world, their hatred, your hatred, your hatred.
Maybe then you will learn to love yourself
somewhat more
in these hands, on my chest, from the warmth.

But do not find a shrine in me for my hands
and nails are that of destruction

  1. That I have inflicted upon others.
  2. That I have done to myself.

The hateful eyes that you receive
can't be seen
from behind my ribcage. Because

  1. It's covered with skin and my body
    isn't see-through.
  2. My heart isn't transparent either. In fact,
I do not remember what that means
anymore. My desires have to stay buried
if I don't want my mother to see
    my carcass six feet under,
stoned and burned and pelted and blue.

So, stay here for a while longer. Let us,
two men as God has created us,
find comfort in the warmth of our breaths
and hear my heart beats until yours calm down.

Out of everything humans could hate, they chose love. And love
against its nature, has a box to fit into.

Our bodies have grown out of the box and I understand
where it aches.
Love, despite its nature, has turned us into disease;
our desires into a phenomenon like the bubonic plague.

I can't offer you a love as such, but I
erase your hatred,
even if for a while.

Let us find solace in one another,
you can bury your face into my chest,
and I can keep my eyes shut close

and let's not speak till we let go of each other
for the walls have ears too.

Perhaps. salvation isn't some kind of forever.
Perhaps,salvation is just a moment,
an act of love.

Perhaps, we deserve it too.

If you can believe in salvation,my love,
I can believe in our love too, that grows
and breaks the sky itself, that defines our nature
as not disgusting but as beautiful.

In short, just know that your scars leak divinity
that I kneel before.
